Chronaexus- Algedonic Awakening (2010)

Chronaexus is a atmospheric black metal band from Sacramento, Ca. Basically its all the dudes from the tech as fuck DM band Slaughterbox playing some horribly depressing black metal. Its fast in some parts, Others are slow, thick and churning keeps the Algedonic Awakening an interesting listening. The main thing that makes this album completely killer is the texture/ layering they use. Anyways that's enough outta me... here it is.

oh yah and welcome Bloody Ears And Beer who is gonna help keep this blog going with new shit for you to bang your head to.

The Sun Came Up Upon The Left- And the Dreams so Rich in Color (2010)

Heavy on the atmosphere, the mood of this album is so thick you can feel it clinging to your body as if you were riding the Maid of The Mist, its damp and it leaves you feeling sticky after a listen. okay I may be over exaggerating but in all seriousness this shit rules from this up and coming two man BM band. Spread this shite like a wildfire, or like bp oil in the gulf.

Miserere Luminis - Miserere Luminis [2009]

Alright, So this is if you enjoyed that Gris post I did awhile back.

This cd is a pretty cool idea is takes two great depressive black metal bands(Gris and Sombres Forets) and then collaborate to write a record.

It is slow and churning depressive music. The best part is that you can actually hear the bass, for the most part.

This is one of those mandatory cd's if you like to sit in your room and feel bad about yourself.

SAD.
