This is the saddest cd youll ever listen too, This band is what used to be Niflhiem, the dudes that wrote that little gem "true depressive pagan black metal". I ussually only listen to this when im in a relitively good mood and sober, other wise i would jump off of a cliff after hearing this devastatingly depressing release. Recommended.
This is kind of a late post, ive been jamming on this cd for a pretty long while, probably the best cd of 2009? maybe.
Thrash black metal from California. Recently signed to Metal Blade, and they deserve it, because they are quite good. They are replaced the shining in the latest behemoth tour, I have a feeling that this band is going to blow the fuck up, partly because of the evangelia amerika tour.
Arkhon Infaustus is Blackened Death Metal or Deathened Black Metal, whatever you want to call it, it slays. Imagine the brutalness of behemoth or belphegor and the mid paced segments of Deathspell Omega, with violent head banging riffs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Total Avant-Garde, Progressive, One Man, Experimental "post" Black Metal. Its really a different take on writing black metal music. Its pretty good, It took me a few spins to get into this. I would say its worth checking out, Im not guaranteen' that you'll like it, but its something that grew on me, and maybe it will grow on you. Also this dude is rumored to be in Krieg now, and they recently released a split with them, and I cant find it anywhere tho. fuck off.
